Final for World Lit.

World Lit. has been jammed with many books somewhere good other didn't compare to the others. The two books that I would have to say took the other books out of the picture would have to bee Power of One and Haroun and the Sea of Stories. These two books where by far the easiest to read and get into. Power of One is a very well put together story that takes you through the life of a young English boy in Africa around the time of World War II. Haroun is a story of a boy who has a father that tells wonderful stories and they go on this giant adventure to get the story telling back to his father. This book came as a surprise I wasn’t expecting it to be very good, but in end up being one of the better stories we read in the class. These are the two stories that other students should get into and read in this class.

The one book that wasn’t very good to me was the Joy Luck Club. I really didn’t enjoy the stories it was depressing and really hard to get into and read the book. It tells stories about Chinese families and there all pretty sad and just not that enjoyable to read for me it wasn’t at least. I think for other classes if you had to take a book out this would be the one that would be the best choice of all.

With this class we got to do blogs on the internet. It was new and I thought fun to put into a class it changed regular old school work for us by putting it on something we don’t use in school very often. I think continuing this would be a good idea I think other kids would enjoy this and makes it a little easier to work on then writing pages of homework. This takes you out a regular class room work and changed things up, change can be good with this it was good and I really enjoyed working on blogs. With kids being on computers more and spending tons of time on them, this made it so we could work on the computer while we look up things on the internet.

The Joy Luck Club

In the book The Joy luck Club we come to the final story “A Pair of Tickets”. This story tell of the Jing-mei who after her mothers death finds out that she has two twin sisters over in China. Jing-mei is asked to go see the girls in place of her mother to tell the twins that their mom has died. Jing isn’t so sure about this as she really didn’t know what to say to the twins for she had no idea that they even existed before her mother’s death. Jing’s father tells her how Jing’s mother left the twin with money and jewels for someone to find because she thought she wouldn’t make it and she didn’t want her baby girls to die with her. The twin are found by Muslims who take care of them, when they go looking for the twins mother she has already moved away to America with June’s father. June’s mother though writes letters to friends and relative to see if they can help find her lost girls. After June’s mother dies they are spotted by and old class mate of her mothers and a letter is sent to the Joy Luck Club.
June is Chinese with that her mother says that she possesses a certain essential Chinese below the surface. June denied this all her life with her mother, but when June finally goes to China for the first time in her life she feels like what her mother has been telling her has been true. She feels different in China like she belongs there. Even though June has never been of lived in China until she goes to see her half sister, she still has a sense that she is strongly connected to China in someway. June realizes that it’s true what her mother says and sees now that she and her mother are more alike then she had thought before going to China.
When June finally meets her half sisters Chwun Yu and Chwun Hwa she doesn’t really see her mother in their faces like she thought she would. The three hug and mutter “mama” with that June’s father takes a picture of the three. As the picture comes out June finally sees that all three of the look like Suyuan. This connects June with her mother more physically as the three compare very closely to Suyuan. This puts it on June that she is like her mom very much so not just in the feeling of Chinese now, but also the look of her is close to her mother.
The ending of this book is very befitting to the Joy Luck Club. I think that if Suyuan was still alive June would have denied the entire true that was coming out of this trip to China. June would have fought against her mother not wanting her to be right about it. So with Suyuan gone June is able to see what her mother was like and take it in better for she couldn’t argue with her mother about it she was able to except it. So the ending is well thought of and I liked it. June was able to open her eyes and see her mother truly for the first time.

"Without Wood"

In the story with out would we have Rose Hsu Jordan grown up and she has been married for about 15 years to Ted, but the marriage starts to fail. One day will Ted is on a business trip, Rose gets divorce papers in the mail along with a ten thousand dollar check. Rose is crushed and takes the pain by staying in bed with the help of sleeping pills. On the third day An-mei calls Rose and tells her and says that she should stand up for herself. After the talk with An-mie Ted calls, and asks why Rose hasn’t sent the divorce papers back. Ted what the house for he has found a new love and what to the house to live in with her. Rose tells Ted to come pick them up. When he gets the papers they are unsigned and Rose refuses to be thrown away like trash by Ted and says she is keeping the house.
The Chinese value that is shown in this story is that you should respect yourself and show confidence in everything you do. Rose got self respect after the talk with An-mie which made her stand up for her self against Ted. Rose starts having more self confidence when she decides to stand up for herself and first she wasn’t as good at it as she took her pain by lying in bed and taking pills, but she stands up and gets to keep the house for she isn’t just a piece of something that you can just pick then when your done with it throw it away.
So I think that what the Chinese value of this story is respect yourself and stand up to problems that come at you. That them head on don't avoid them.

Childhood conflict

When I was in my younger years I was a little trouble some at times. If my mom told me not to do something that I thought would be fun to I when I got the chance I’d usually be doing what I was told not to. Boy would she get made and I get in some big trouble. When I was about 7 years old I had a thing for knifes like most little boys they were cool, fun, and shiny. Well I wasn’t very skilled with a knife lets just say I couldn’t quite cut like a pro chef could. That still didn’t stop me so I’d sneak in my parents room and fine my dad’s pocket knife then take off out the door like a cheetah was after me. I’d use it to cut tree branches off and other stuff, but that usually lead to me fingers getting in the way. So I’d run inside my house crying my eyes out my mom would ask what happened and I’d tell her. Well after about the 8th time cutting myself I was in some trouble my mom said if I where to cut myself again I’d be sent to my room with out getting a band aid or anything. Well me being the little scamp that I was took that pocket knife out and played around the once again cut my finger. So I went to the house telling my mom I needed a banded, but she remembers what she told me. Well I wasn’t to happy o about that I mean I was bleeding I needed serious medical help what I thought. So I said no I need a band aid I’m not going to my room. Well my mom said if I didn’t I’d get in even bigger trouble for not listening to her. So me crying even more ran to my room now upset and bleeding still. Laid on my bed yelling mom, but she let me lay there for a little. Then after awhile she came in and got me a band aid. Let’s just say that after that knife weren’t as appealing to me.
I think my mom was mad at me not because I cut myself again, but because I didn’t listen to what she said. I think that she wanted to show me that doing something that I’m not suppose to could lead to some punishment

childhood impact story

Well much of my childhood memory has been lost through out my long 18 years of life. I think most of the reason has been my head injuries getting 6 concussions I think messes with the brain a little. One of these injuries was obtained while riding with my mom home from lunch after a hot day of work. We were driving along the way on a gravel road to our house which was just about 7 miles and a river away from my moms work. It was a normal hot day and we were all hungry for we worked up quite and appetite from work in the morning. So where driving from work we are closing in on this turn which you can’t see the other side as the trees blocked view to the other side. So we take the turn we move on the inside of the turn because there usually no one diving the rode, but today was the day Norbie’s wife was going to work as we rounded the corner her vehicle came around at the same time. (Norbie and Debby where the other family that would and lived on the same ranch where my family lived and my dad worked.) We hit front ends we where wearing seat belts so we got some massive frontal movement that through my head into the windshield cracking it. I ended up with glass in my forehead and was bleeding. So my dad came picked me up and we went to the emergency room so I could get checked out. After we check to make sure Debby was okay and not injured. They cleared the glass out as best they could and I was sent home with a cut up head and a massive headache. I really didn't know what to do I was young a kind of out of it with the head injury, but I was glad everyone turned out okay and Know one was seriously injured.
I learned that it is wise to wear a seat belt even if it’s just a little drive to your house anything can happen and you should be safe no matter what you are doing. We got lucky that we weren’t moving at high speeds or else a lot more damage could have happened to both sides and that could have been very bad.

Reading on China

The empire of China back in the medieval days was equally as great as the Roman empire. It wasn't quite as out going as the Spanish empire over America and Philippines and it's people less numerous than Britain, when you compare the subject years to the rest of the empires around the world it surpasses them all.

In a large part of the 3rd century the China was a split country with many barbarian dynasties fighting for control of the northern part of China. The Han Chinese in the lower part kept its economy up and running as the battles wore on in the higher parts of China. In 589 China united until 1126 when it was split by the Jin dynasty in the north and the Chinese dynasty of the Southern Song had the south. In 1234 the Mongols took control of north China then later on took south China reuniting China once agian but under Mongal rule. It is said that inner China is still under Mongal rule to this day.

Compare and contast essay

In the book Haroun and the Sea of Stories is about another place on the second moon of earth on this moon is the place where all the stories of the world come from. There are two types of people that live on this moon the Gups and the Chups. These two people are different in many ways with the Gups living in the light and the Chups living in the dark is probably the bi difference that set them so far apart. With this huge difference between them the Chupwalas try poisoning the sea of stories so everything would turn dark and kind dead like which the Chupwalas like. The Gups don’t like that idea so they stop the poisoning before it destroys the sea.

With the build of Dornix park in Big Timber the people are coming together to work on something that is special to everyone. Like the Guppees Big Timber doesn’t have to work on the park to make it better they chose to because its something they think is great for the community. The Gups look after the sea because it is special to them and it has all the stories of the time which they enjoy deeply. Big Timber is cleaning and making Dornix Park not just because it’s a piece of Big Timbers history, but so it’s possible for later generations to enjoy this beautiful park that is taking the sweat and hard work of the community of Big Timber. Dornix is old being the first town setup way back which later turned in to Big Timber. Dornix is like the Old Zone which holds all the old stories in it which helps make new stories out of the old ones. So when the Gups cleaned out the Old Zone its like us cleaning out Dornix so everyone can enjoy both.

The efforts to build Dornix Park don’t quite mix with what the Chupwalas want to do. The Chupwalas are trying to destroy the sea make it a giant frozen cold waste land like their home. With the cleaning up of Dornix Big Timber is trying to make it more enjoyable and beautiful so people can enjoy it not destroy it like the Chupwalas are trying to destroy the Sea of Stories.

Dornix Park is big for Big Timber as it is made by the people. Everyone that works on it is volunteers so it’s a giant group effort by everyone. Dornix was the first town built in Sweety Grass County so it has some history along with the building of the park. The community wants the history of where Big Timber began remembered through the years so that’s why it’s a big project. Also its one of the first park built just by the people not by some contractor, but by the people of Big Timber which makes it special.

With the building and cleaning of the park we are very close to the Gups who clean the Sea of stories for everyone to enjoy. Like we are cleaning and building the park so everyone can enjoy by walking through it and seeing the site that it holds. While we work hard to make it and restore the beauty to it we all have to work very hard to make it all come together. The Chupwalas aren’t in any means the same for the try to destroy things not make the beautiful an awesome for everyone to enjoy. So the Gups and Big Timber are very close and good people that like the beauty of things that are around them.

Haroun and the Sea of Stories

The Guppees and the Chupwalas are people that live on earth’s 2nd moon. The moon moves so fast that it isn’t seen by regular people because it is so speed. The Guppees are the people of talk and story telling they love to talk and be happy. They also live on the side of the moon where the sun is always shining and is very nice. The city they live in is called Gup where isn’t very nice and warm. The Chupwalas like in the land of Chup it’s the dark side of the moon where the sun never shines and its always cold there. The people of Gup are very talkative like I said before; they love to tell stories as they live by and maintain the ocean of stories. The people of Chup are cold people that don’t speak at all they hate stories and the light their very negative group of people. They want to make the moon all dark and sad which they start by poisoning the ocean of stories.

Khattam Shud is the ruler of Chup he is a very dark mean man that doesn’t enjoy talking at all or stories. With him poisoning the ocean of stories it is starting to freeze over and if that happen all stories will be lost and a story will never be told again. So if he takes over there will be no more stories and the world will be lame and even sadder because there will be no stories to tell anymore.

The Old Zone is the part of the ocean where all the stories come from it holds all the old stories. From the old ones new stories are made by combing stories together. So it is important that the Old Zone is safe so more stories can be made. If isn’t safe then there will be no new stories to make and soon all stories would stop all together,
It’s important because it represent that old make new it shows that with old come the new. If there is no Old Zone then nothing new can be made because everything has to have a beginning at some point and time in the world.

Batcheat and the ocean are important is some ways even though one seems to be a little more important than the other. Batcheat is the princess of Gup which makes her kind of a symbol to the people. The prince Bolo loves her and would do anything for here even though the people don’t think she’s the greatest even she’s still their princess. So they have to save her. The ocean is what keeps the Guppees going without it everything they are will be lost for their stories wouldn’t be able to make people happy anymore because there would be no more stories to tell people. So the ocean at this point is a little more important to the people than the princess is.

Blabbermouth is a woman that chooses to make herself look like a moan to get along the world she lives in for its very hard for her to do so. So she fakes being a man and goes into the army which would be tough being something your not but she does very well and worlds hard for it. Batcheat is the princess she really doesn’t have to work for anything as she is royalty so everything comes easier for her. She also isn’t the best looking lady so with her being royalty she really doesn’t have to worry about that. Blabbermouth is a hard working lady that knows what she has to do to make it in the town of Gup. Batcheat really doesn't have to do anything because she is royalty and can be lazy.

What's the purpose

What's the purpose of make believe stories? Make believe stories can have many purposes. One such purpose would be to tell a story to entertain a person or a crowd. This would be a good way to pass the time as many people enjoy hearing stories from time to time. Also little children like to hear a story before they go to bed maybe it helps them sleep hearing some made up story about dragons and elves and make believe characters that fight evil villains and come out victorious in the end.

Make believe stories can be used to get appoint across to someone. If you’re trying to tell someone something important you might make up a story so the person can better understand the point you are trying to get across to them. Like if you’re trying to tell someone what would help them to go farther in some sport of something you can make up a story about work ethic and trying your best to be the best.

You can trick someone with a make believe story to do something that could benefit you or them which ever way you want it to go. Like if you want someone to take you some where you could make up a story about how your mom needs something important and their the only person that could help you get it for your mom. Even though you just wanted a ride to get somewhere that you wanted to be at the time and need a story that would help you get there.

Reponse to reading

In my reading I learned that there have been a lot of religions that have passed through India. The main religion though in India is Hinduism. Buddhism showed it’s self for the first by with a man named Zarathustra who perched renunciation of desire as the key to human salvation. It’s one of the worlds greatest religious it had large influence on people through out the land.
With the change of religion there also has been change or people who have taken control of India one such group are the Mughals. The Mugals took over India in 1519 lead by a man who said he was the decent of Genghis Khan who was once a Mugal leader. With the rule of the Mughals India was looking very bright with many great leaders. One of the greatest leaders was Akbar who some compared to Elizabeth of England; he was big on art and literature. When Akbar took control of the empire he was very young with that he had advisors who helped him through until he was older and he took full control of the empire himself. He ruled and empires with many religions to get Hindu support he threw out poll taxes which strengthen him rein as emperor. Akbar made the administration of system that linked land with military. This helped seeing commanders of troops with this system as with payment then you got 10 then you’d get 10,000 troops in your command.
Mughals brought their own type of art to India when they came it was know as Indo-Persian. With Abkar was big on building up his empire he mad schools, ponds, and great monuments. He also had Fathpur-Sikri built as a celebration for his first son being born. They built many great buildings under the Munghal rain such as the Lofty Portal which is called the perfect architectural achievement in India. Its color weathered to a soft rose. It has red pillars of sand stone with balconies and much more.

India

Well it the 7th largest continent and the 2nd most populated one. It has one of the largest mountain ranges the Hymnals. It’s a third world country it’s not very developed yet, but I have read that they are starting to industrialize which is good the country needs to improve. Its people have a red dot on their head I really don’t know what it stand for, but I think it has something to do with their god which has like 6 arms which is kind of crazy if you ask me. The main religion is Hinduism it’s like really popular there most of the people believe in it. Along with it there are also Buddhist and Jainism I don’t really know much about any of them other then that they are pretty old compared to most religions. So I really don't know alot about India thats pretty much it right there.

Reflection free write

In the book power of one Peekay is a pretty big deal from what has been read. I think he's like Flash the superhero because he's quick minded and quick with his hands as Flash is the faster person on earth. He's also like Superman he's for the people of Africa like Superman is for the people of the world. They all have special powers in some kind of way. He is and individual among people as he is really smart and a great boxer which he doesn't have in common with very many people in the story. So he's kind of a stand out among everyone else. He's is very successful through his life with the help of many people that make him great, even better than he would of been because of what they teach his in life is so great to him and helps him along the way. He is a hard working kid that doesn't take hand outs. Its like not cool to get handouts for him, he wants to make his own way through the world saying he did it himself not getting handouts from no one ever. The boy is also a great boxer he should of met Muhammad Ali because they were like the same kind of boxing both fast. Peekay had head then heart as what he went by, Ali had float like a butterfly sting like a bee. They could have been good together owning people. When he got the name tadpole angel he came something more than just a boxer white man. He became the symbol for Africa he was the true leader of Africa and noone else could be like him he had some kind of speical juju about him that made him way different then anyone before him so he was a big deal to the black people as he was a symbol of something new coming their way and to Africa.

The Power of One

The young boy Peekay has come a long way since the time in boarding school he has made many more friends and learned so much for a child his age, only eleven years old and he his smarter than most kids in any age. With his new friends come life lesson, but one of the most important lessons was just a saying by Doc.

Doc teaches Peekay many lessons through this time with Doc, from teaching him Latin, and all about planet and music. One day Doc gives Peekay one of most valuable saying that will stick with Peekay forever. “The searcher after truth must search with humanity. Ruthless logic is the sign of limited mind. The truth can only add to the sum of what you know, while a harmless mystery left unexplored it is better left as a mystery.” What I think Doc is telling Peekay is to keep an open mind know matter what. You want to be knowledgeable, but don’t always go with what other people say. See truth in many ways don’t close your mind about other even though its how others see them. Keep open minded an open hearted about others in life.

When Captain Smit and KlipKop find out what had happen to Geel they look for justice in their own way. Lieutenant Borman was responsible for his death. So Smit takes him to the gym and puts a beat down on him. With this you see the Captain Smit has over come the hate against Geel for being a kaffir. He has over comes his hate like all people for this man, yes it is only one put you see how they have come to realize that he was kind of a friend and opened their hearts to the old man. With the beating of Borman it put aside race it was kind of respect and love for Geel Peit as he was a great teacher for boxing and rubbed off on everyone. Captain Smit showed that he went cross the color line for someone he had a liking to and didn’t think the way he died was fit for Geel.

So with that we see that times are changing and that even though some one is different then you they can be someone special. To everyone at the Prison Geel was special even if they didn’t like to admit it he was a friend. Geel Peit had respect from everyone and will be missed. Smit showed that when he took Borman into and took it to him.

Africa response

With Josh's information I found out that the Africa people weren’t slaves for very long, but they suffered allot of discrimination. The concentration camps sound pretty bad, and not letting animal colored people have voting rights or very little rights at all is said. They had like revolutionary war over in South Africa, but it sounds different with the guerrilla war far. This information has showed me what kind of fighting has gone on in Africa over the many years. I see that with the fighting it’s not helping Africa to much its more likely making it worse.

Shannon’s wasn’t too different from what I learned in the book I had read from I knew about the diamonds and other riches that African rely on. The main cities I learned about though I didn’t know about them as much so it was nice to learn about the. Also I learned that Dutch were the first to settle in Africa I thought it was Britain. The other main income of the fruit and tobacco I didn’t know was a large part of Africa that was pretty cool to know.

Africa Background

When Africa was first colonized the native people where seen as a lesser race to the Europeans that settled there. They labeled them as savages that were cannibals. The first man to find meet with Africa natives was Vasco do Gama. When he met with the natives he found them very kind and came with food and trading animals. It was in the later years that the Khoisan were called savages. With white people pushing the Khoisan into undesirable areas to live where they learned to live off of hunting and gathering made white think that these people where primitive beings compared to them. With the Khoisan going back to the ways of the bushmen they soon became amusement for people to see. Some where killed and put into a museum to be on display for people to all see. Scientist look at the Bushmen as animals that they could perform tests on and just treat like they were some wild thing they had found. With scientist looking at these people they soon found out they weren’t as primitive as thought out to be they had a complex language, along with there technical skills in there environment. They also had a very well organized social relationship. They were extremely caring for their children along with their elders. Bushmen were well skilled artist as there is rock painting all over Africa that are very detailed for that time of art. There are over 30,000 rock art sites in South Africa. When the art was found in the 1900s people concluded that no one from Africa could of make such great art so it was thought to be from others who had set foot in Africa. When the Bushmen were finally credit for the art it was in the 1990s when South Africa’s apartheid regime collapsed as the art portrays belief of the San people or Bushmen.

Africa is a very rich continent as it has many resources from many various types of plants (8,500) to a ton of diamonds. Africa is a harsh land to grow plants as in is very dry and the soil is very rocky. With the finding of diamonds, gold, platinum, chromium, nickel, and many other valuable materials, has helped Africa with that problem of bad farming. With all those great a shiny things Africa sit has one great thing to add to its many wonders. The Bushveld Igneous Complex it is not like anything on earth not only is it jam backed with various of minerals, it is also the largest complex in the known world stretching 25,480 miles. The complex single handle got Africa 5 billion dollars in U.S. money to its economy in 1995.

The first sitting of wealth in Africa was by a Dutch man who went and visited a friend next to the Vaal River in 1867. A child was playing with a shinny stone that caught the man’s eye and asked the father of the child if he could buy it from them. He got it for feed the father had no idea that it was a diamond. With in 3 years after the find of the diamond over 5,000 prospectors were staking their claims. With the finding of diamonds they found the mother load you could say which became known as Kimberley. It was the the biggest man hole in the world 985 feet across and 295 feet deep. Kimberley had produced more diamond than any other place in the world. This brought Africa many jobs which brought a pretty good pay for people. With the people making such good pay as miner it was adding up, so the mine owners turned to convicts as it was cheaper to get them to work. They couldn't quite or leave they worked as long as they were told. Then in 1932 they stopped using convicts and got worker, but by then the work places where like prisons and people where held there until their contract was up. There was no contact to the outside world and they moved through a fence that roofed over the top of them so they couldn't throw diamonds to family.

Some say Africa that Africa isn't able to hold a strong goverment it was never ment to work. Africa is at the bottom of the list with health, food, educationn, and many other problems. WIth only a small percentage of people living in homes that have good food and water. Also witht he bad health, Africa has a large number of diseases with twenty-five million poeple infected by AIDS. With that there are many other diseases that are in Africa that have deadly effects on people.

Africa

Africa is also the second largest continent in the world its a big deal.Well Africa is the most dangerous continent in the world. Why is this because pretty much everything that lives there can kill you. This is also were aids originated so its pretty scary over there. Then they also have giant civil wars going on in the country. In this giant land it has the longest river the Nile and the largest desert the Sahara. It is home to a cart load of animals from hippos to sharks. Which are pretty dangerous animals if you watch animal planet. Along with those you have loins, hyenas, cheetahs and many more. With aids there is also yellow fever, and the Ebola virus. South Africa is the most populated part of Africa it is also the most civialized part of Africa. So thats about as much as I know about Africa.

Rabbit Proof Fence

In the book rabbit proof fence the author is telling a story of how Europeans came to Australia and calmed it as their own. Even though for over hundreds of years the Aboriginal people had lived in Australia cut off from the rest of the world. Doris Pilkington is of aboriginal descent, in the book she writes she shows no strong anger towards the Europeans for taking the land from her ancestors. I think that she is just trying to tell a story through the book. She’s not trying to make it like the Europeans are evil people who destroyed her people or that her ancestors where uncivilized people. She is putting facts with the story showing what happened in a calm way. She isn’t choosing sides in anyway she all she wants to do is tell the story. She wants people to enjoy her reading that has informational facts without them being more lop sided with one part then the other. That is why she is so neutral when writing this book she wants to tell a story not pick a fight or anything like that.

Crash is a multi-perspective story as it blends stories of many people into one big one. Which in the end they all connect some how. It has cops, gangstas, Mexicans, and whites all in one. Showing how they are like one with their lives no matter how different they are.

300 is a movie about 300 Spartans who fight a giant army to save there people from slavery. Its told from one man that was with the 300 hundred who fought with them , but sent away to tell the story its in 3rd limited Omniscient As he tells the story of there great king and how he lead 300 Spartans to fight and army of millions how they knew they wouldn't come back alive, but they did it for their people and their families.

Manhandling

As we moved the mob through the open I see a red heifer shes not like any of the other cows in the group. I knew I'd have to keep and eye on her as we pushed on through the bush. As I'm the head healer of the group its my duty to keep the mob in line and to make sure the trouble makers don't get out of control. This red heifer is like none I'd ever heeled she was a wild thing. I watched her as she crept to the flank of the herd waiting for the time when she would make a break from the mob. Then the moment came she went for it. I got the signal the whistle go off after my feet padding against the ground. She doesn't know I'm coming when i bit into her right hide foot she lets out a bellow. She turns but I'm to quick a hit her again she races back to the mob. When she makes it back I take my place with the mob watching for anymore that try to get away. Then after awhile with my heeling of the red heifer I see that she does take the hint very well. She makes a break for it again I get the signal. I'm off quick like lighting, I bit her hard this time she throws a mean right hoof I duck under. Then bite hard into the left she throws another mean hoof I'm to quick I take her other leg. Then she turns a full run back to the mob. I take chance of her biting at every chance I get. This time she won't for get as this time I have the taste of blood in my mouth. We bring the cows to the corrals. They separate the cows and the calves along with the red heifer. I take my spot in the branding corrals where I wait to here for any signal I'm needed. Then there all separated I go out and watch as one by one the calves are all branded. During this time I see that the red heifer is freaking having a giant fit and shes looking to get out she tries everything from running into the fence going under, but it doesn't work. Then its her turn to be branded she put up a giant fight but in the end she is branded while I lay there a watch. After she is let go she bolts for the fence and somehow managers to make it over the fence see looked like a giant red sea saw when she got over rocking back a forth. The she takes off she will be even more fun next time before she is taken away from here.

Bushranger

The women in the story Bushranger from the coach are both gentle and lady like. When Starlight and his gang of bushranger rode the coach there are 2 women that are on the coach. Both very lady like with fancy dresses. When Starlight ask for there watches and purses they give it to him without a struggle. The young lady though tells Starlight that she only has five pounds which is her only way to get on the train at the station she is going to. With her saying that I think that the young lady is using her girlish charm to get her money back from Starlight. She uses her tears and her looks to con Starlight into giving back her money, with her little story about her mom only giving her 5 pounds. So Starlight being the gentlemen that he gives the young lady back her money and slips her a little something extra. So yes in the story ladies use their way that people see them as the finer sex to con the men into giving them something that they want. Weather it is batting a eyelash or shedding a few tears every now and then.

review

I think that Australia having marsupials is awesome there pretty cool on how they raise there babies in there pouch. Australia being home to the hardest hard wood tree in the world is really interesting. I'm jealous of the Australian's because they don't have to deal with cold ever which is pretty much awesome because then i wouldn't be freezing.
Its crazy how one third of the population live in only two cities. The kids that live way outside in the bush and have to listen to the radio for school i think that would be really boring, but its education i guess.

Australia Poeple

The island of Australia was settled by convicts with some people that came over with them in the beginning. After the shipment of the convict fleets a little later followed them bring new people which brought sheep to the land which has had a giant impact for the English in the harsh land. When gold was found in Australia that's when people started coming in full. Around ten years the country had tripled its amount of people with the gold rush.

There were also natives the Aborigines they had migrated to Australia long before England had inhabited it. They are nomads living off the land and cut off from the rest of the as they were on a island. When England first came to Australia, Aborigines had no knowledge of agriculture and there only domestic animal was the dingo. The 2 different race did clash to bad not they did in America, but Aborigines did die from disease brought over by the English. Now the government is trying to help the Aborigines so their numbers have grown over the years.

Australian has many sports it plays from swimming to rugby. With the climate warm all the time people can play outdoor sports year around. There biggest sport their know for is tennis Australia has dominated the world or tennis

Many people that go to Australia tend to live in the city, but the other that don't usually become ranch of cattle or sheep. Wool from sheep is Australia's largest export so they depend on it very much. Australia is more open so it is easier to have a larger number of cattle to move and graze. Most ranchers use planes to work as they are so far out in the bush that a plane is the easiest thing to find their cattle in the open land or sheep. Radio and planes are big for ranches as they use them to keep in contact with the cities and to fly in doctors or dentist when needed.

Australia

Australia is the 6th largest nation so its pretty big. In Australia it has Mount Kosciuszko which is there tallest point. Steven Erwin was born and lived in Australia all his life so he's like their big celebrate there. Australia is the driest conteint on the planet out of all the seven. Australia is home to the only mammal that lays eggs instead of giving live birth like the platypus and the echidna. Australia started off as an island where people would take convict and leave them because it is full of deadly animals that can kill you by either poison or eating you. Australia is a place where you can find and abundance of great white sharks but people say your more likely to be struck by lighting than to be attacked by one. Australia host the to most deadliest reptiles in the saltwater corc which has claimed more human live than the Great White shark, then they have the deadliest snake alive taipan it has a bite 50 time more toxic than a cobra. So I'd say that its a pretty dangerous place to be living.
